This is Vince Gingery's first book published in 1992. Here he offers plans on how to build a 60 stroke-per-minute hacksaw machine powered by a 1/3 hp 1725 rpm electric motor. The saw uses a 14 tpi blade and will cut through 1/4" x 3" flat bar in a couple of minutes. The saw weighs a little more than 50 pounds. The final drive speed is reduced to 60 rpm using standard belts and pulleys. Plans for a heavy duty , adjustable vise are also included.
